Job summary

SpecialtyRx is opening a new closed-door long-term care pharmacy in Cook County, Illinois. The Pharmacy Data Entry Technician will enter new prescription orders, maintain customer records, and generate labels under pharmacist review.

The role supports workflows and responds to inquiries in a detail-oriented, accurate manner. Qualified candidates hold an active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license or equivalent, have fast typing skills, knowledge of SIG codes, and experience with pharmacy

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Fast and accurate typing skills.
• Knowledge of brand name and generic medications.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter new prescription orders for pharmacist review.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information.
• Generate prescription labels for dispensing.
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to order inquiries.
• Clarify prescription orders as needed.
• Triage and process incoming faxes.
• Support pharmacy workflow while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
