Job summary

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Petroleum Inspector in Texas City to perform sampling and quantity surveys at refineries, terminals, and vessels. You will collect petrochemical samples and ensure proper labeling, documentation, and timely delivery to labs or clients.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, strong HS&E knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a safety-conscious environment with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with shore tanks, trucks, rail cars, pipelines and barges.
• Knowledge of HS&E procedures and applicable regulations.
• Dependable, able to work independently and communicate professionally with clients.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Receives orders, obtains information, and gathers paperwork from Operations Supervisors.
• Ensures equipment is in good operating condition – clean and calibrated.
• Reports to job-site and complies with regulations and standards.
• Attends meetings with external personnel ashore and abroad.
• Represents Bureau Veritas by appearance and conduct.
• Promptly and safely delivers samples to a Bureau Veritas laboratory or client facilities for analysis.
• Maintains a 24-hour on-call status.
