Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a field-based Pest Control Technician for hospitality and foodservice clients. You will participate in a 5-week paid training covering pest detection, elimination, and prevention techniques, and establish relationships with commercial customers.

You will document issues with handheld equipment, deliver timely service, and work toward required pest control licensing. The position requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of work or military experience.
• Current and valid Driver's License with no restrictions.
• Availability to work overnight shifts and be on call during off-hours and weekends as needed.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Obtain pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to state/local law.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to pass a drug test including THC.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds chest high.
• Ability to wear and use a respirator.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, damp/dusty areas, and extreme temperatures.
• Ability to climb ladders and perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and extended standing.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Experience selling value-added products to existing customers preferred.
• Previous pest elimination industry or route experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 5-week paid training program covering pest detection, elimination, and prevention techniques.
• Establish working relationships with commercial customers in hospitality and foodservice.
• Identify and solve customer pest elimination needs using best practices.
• Maintain expertise in Ecolab's products and services to enhance service and sales.
• Use handheld computerized equipment to document structural, sanitation, and pest issues.
• Deliver timely, cost-effective, high-quality service under close supervision.
• Obtain pest control licensing and/or certification as required by state/local law.
• Work independently in a flexible, field-based environment.
• Protect customer brands and public health through science-based solutions.
• Drive a company vehicle as required.
