Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pest Control Technician to inspect, identify, and treat areas infested by insects, rodents, and other pests. The technician will work with both residential and commercial clients to provide safe and effective pest management solutions, following all safety guidelines and company protocols. Responsibilities include conducting site evaluations, applying products, sealing entry points, and educating customers on prevention techniques. Ideal candidates are physically fit, customer-focused, and knowledgeable about pest behaviors and treatment methods.

Responsibilities

1. Inspection and Assessment: Inspect buildings and surrounding areas for signs of pest infestation.
2. Treatment Planning: Develop appropriate pest control strategies based on findings; choose safe and effective treatment methods such as pest control products, mechanical and biological methods; educate clients on the treatment plan, including safety precautions and follow‑up requirements.
3. Application of Treatments: Apply products, traps or other control methods in accordance with regulations; use equipment such as sprayers, bait stations, and foggers; ensure treatments are applied safely, minimizing risk to people, pets and the environment.
4. Recordkeeping and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of services performed, products used and treatment outcomes; report pest issues and corrective actions to supervisors or clients.
5. Customer Service: Communicate clearly with clients about pest control options and preventive measures; address client concerns and provide follow‑up visits when needed; educate clients on ways to prevent future infestations.
6. Compliance and Safety: Follow all local, state and federal regulations regarding pest control product use and safety; wear personal protective equipment and adhere to company safety policies; stay updated on pest control methods and legal requirements through ongoing training.
7. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean pest control tools and vehicles; ensure all equipment is in proper working order before use; identify the type of pest and determine the extent of the infestation; assess environmental conditions contributing to pest problems.
