Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Patient Access Liaison to educate patients and caregivers and support reimbursement for adult and pediatric use. In this field-based role you will build impactful relationships, assess patient needs, and educate on disease state, therapy access, and insurance coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of direct patient support experience.
• Ability to explain disease, product, access and reimbursement concepts at consumer level.
• Preference for clinical/allied health degree or licensure with pediatric/related experience.
• 2+ years in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable.
• Bilingual abilities and experience with orphan/rare disease launches are a plus.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, FDA requirements, and OIG compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for education on disease state, products, and therapy access questions.
• Develop and maintain patient relationships via in-person and virtual interactions.
• Assess patient needs and create action plans using approved resources.
• Provide individualized education on disease state and product use.
• Educate patients on insurance coverage and how to obtain therapy.
• Deliver medication administration education once coverage is established.
• Offer information on affordability resources as needed.
• Manage long-term relationships with tailored communication plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in education symposia as needed.
• Coordinate with Patient Safety/Pharmacovigilance and Compliance to report AEs.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
• Travel up to 50% (including overnight and some weekend travel).
