Job summary

AT&T in Boynton Beach, Florida is seeking an Outside Plant Technician to install, repair and maintain outside plant facilities. You will climb poles, work with fiber optic and coax cables, splice conductors, and follow safety procedures in all weather conditions.

This temporary, 40-hour per week role requires operating power equipment, reading work orders, and loading tools and heavy equipment onto trucks. Competitive wages from $18 to $48 hourly with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining outside plant facilities.
• Ability to climb poles and work in variable weather conditions.
• Familiarity with fiber optic and coaxial cable installation.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain outside plant facilities and cables.
• Splice and test PIC and non-pressurized cables.
• Operate power equipment and load tools onto trucks.
• Follow safety procedures and interpret work orders and prints.
• Work outdoors in all weather and identify conductor faults.
