Job summary

AT&T in Orlando, FL is seeking an Outside Plant Technician to install, repair and maintain outside plant facilities and fiber optic systems. You will work outdoors in all weather, climb poles and operate heavy tools with safety as a priority.

The role involves splicing cables, testing with specialized equipment, and adhering to company practices. Weekly hours are 40 under a temporary, fixed-term contract, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate and lift loads up to 120 pounds.
• Adherence to established safety procedures in all weather conditions.
• Ability to interpret work orders, prints and company practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain outside plant facilities.
• Unwind, pull, and splice wiring from pole to pole and to customer premises.
• Dismantle, move or remove aerial, underground or building wiring and related hardware.
• Test cables and fiber optics using specialized equipment to diagnose faults and activate circuits.
