Job summary

Slicfiber is seeking a full-time Outside Plant - Installation & Repair Technician across New York State. Technicians will engage in various tasks such as pole work, fiber and copper splicing, and service installations while providing excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will possess good customer service skills and a positive attitude, with some experience in telecommunications being a plus. We offer hands-on training for those new to the field.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work the occasional night, weekend and holiday.
• Telecommunication industry experience is a plus.

Description

Technicians perform outside plant task (pole work, fiber and copper splicing, cabling) as well as service installations (wiring and utilizing customer premise equipment, interfacing with customers). A positive attitude, good customer service skills, and a desire to be part of a fast‑growing company is essential. Experience with Cat5 cabling fiber optics installation, splicing, and buried construction is a plus but not required. We provide in-field, hands on training.

Requirements

Salary Description

$18.00 - $23.00/hour based on experience
