Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Outreach Counselor to support the Midland, TX area and surrounding counties. You will provide in-person and phone assistance regarding enrollment and eligibility for Texas Health and Social Services Programs, building relationships with community groups.

Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required; candidates must be able to travel within the region and reside within commutable distance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in human services preferred.
• Fluency in English; bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Excel is expected.

Responsibilities

• Interface with complaints and inquiries, directing to appropriate teams.
• Assist consumers in enrolling, disenrolling, and transferring into health plans.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of managed care programs the clients use.
• Work to meet contract requirements and processing guidelines.
• Engage with community organizations to strengthen program presence.
• Support callers via phone and in-person interactions; handle escalations.
