Job summary

CITADEL Pacific Ltd in the CNMI seeks an Outside Plant Technician to install, maintain, and repair copper and fiber infrastructure for the BEAD project. You will read and maintain splicing schematics, support project timelines, and prepare accurate staking sheets for assigned sites.

Under the supervision of the OSP Supervisor, you will splice cables, test with OTDR and power meters, troubleshoot faults, and ensure end-to-end service provisioning while adhering to OSHA, FCC, NESC and NEC

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in outside plant installation and repair for copper and fiber.
• 6–12 months in construction of outside plant facilities.
• Familiarity with OSHA, FCC, NESC and NEC safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair Outside Plant infrastructure including copper and fiber cables.
• Splice copper and fiber optic cables and maintain splicing records, schematics and diagrams.
• Coordinate with Construction PM/OSP Engineers and report field activity in detail.
• Test and troubleshoot fiber with OTDR, power meter, fiber identifier and scope.
• Perform routine Outside Plant maintenance; locate and repair route issues and test jumpers.
• Validate end-to-end service provisioning and ensure correct cable terminations.
• Review site surveys and drawings for installation feasibility.
• Provide on-the-job training to interns or trainees.
• Adhere to OSHA, FCC, NESC and NEC safety procedures.
