Job summary

Education Minnesota is seeking a Field Staff member to support union leaders and members in Minnesota. You will organize, promote membership, assist in bargaining, defend member rights, and advance racial equity and social justice through training and community partnerships.

Travel and evening/weekend work may be required. This role emphasizes leadership development, engagement with Education Minnesota, NEA, and AFT, and collaboration across locals to strengthen the union and expand member

Qualifications

• Experience in education issues, collective bargaining, and member training.
• Ability to work with elected leaders and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement organizing plans with locals.
• Promote membership recruitment and retention.
• Support bargaining processes and negotiations.
• Train leaders on member rights and anti-racism.
