Job summary

Education Minnesota is seeking a Field Staff to support union members and locals in St. Cloud, MN. You will work under the Director of Field Services to implement programs on membership growth, rights advocacy, organizing, and community partnerships.

The role emphasizes engagement with NEA and AFT, anti-racist work, and ongoing staff training. Regular, full-time scheduling includes travel and evening/weekend duties as needed to advance the union’s goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in education issues and collective bargaining.
• Experience with grievance processing and member training.
• Ability to work with elected leaders and unions; strong communication and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Organize and advise locals on organizing goals and tactics.
• Promote membership growth, recruitment, and retention.
• Support bargaining teams and coordinate with Education Minnesota/NEA/AFT.
• Protect member rights and assist in grievance proceedings and investigations.
• Promote racial equity and social justice within member interactions.
• Develop internal and external communications plans for members and leaders.
