Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VHA) seeks a Supervisory Health System Specialist - Field Operations Manager to lead national PSAS policy, planning, and procurement for prosthetic devices and related services.

The role entails guiding VISN Prosthetic Representatives and facility staff, coordinating IPTs, and overseeing accreditation and site evaluations to ensure quality patient care and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Has programmatic responsibilities for leading, planning, developing, and implementing national policy for the delivery of PSAS items and related services in direct support of Prosthetic Services.
• Provides guidance, consultation, and support on behalf of VHA national program senior leaders to VISN Prosthetic Representatives, facility staff and stakeholders for prosthetic programs.
• Leads the operations division of PSAS and oversees acquisition, contracting, and logistics for prosthetic items.
• Provides consultative services on interpretation of acquisition regulations and participates in national acquisition training forums.
• Oversees accreditation activities and monitors laboratories, personnel, and training programs to ensure compliance.
