Job summary

Maleda Tech is standing up a brand new business incubations team and seeks a Business Operations Contractor to rapidly ideate, prioritize, and test new concepts in a lean, field-driven environment.

This hands-on role requires doing the work in the field, meeting partners and customers in person, and traveling as tests demand. You will manage multiple projects, build basic financial models, and document pilot results for fast decisions.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of experience with a track record of scrappy, fast-moving execution.
• Background in standing up or running customer-facing, financially driven initiatives.
• Independent operator who still rolls up sleeves rather than managing large teams.
• Basic financial modeling and business case development ability.
• Bias-to-action mindset: prefer rough tests this week over perfect ones later.
• Clear, fast writing skills to capture learnings for others to act on.

Responsibilities

• Own the logistics that turn a concept into a live test, including sourcing partners, scheduling, locations, and the details no one else is tracking.
• Show up in person where the test happens, whether that is a home, a market, or a partner site, and do the hands-on work to make it real.
• Pick up the phone to cold-call potential partners, meet with prospective customers and partners on the ground, and travel to other cities when a test calls for it.
• Keep several half-defined projects moving at once by tracking tasks, dates, and open items so nothing slips, and flag blockers early.
• Build basic financial models and business cases to pressure-test whether an idea is worth pursuing.
• Write up customer conversations and pilot results clearly and quickly, so the team can make a fast call on what to scale and what to kill.
• Own execution independently while receiving meaningful direction and macro-level guidance from the team lead.
