Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Field Operations Director - Prime MEP for our growing Prime MEP division in Texas. You will lead construction projects at an operational level, driving customer and employee satisfaction and profitable outcomes.

You will collaborate with business development, field teams and other units to win work aligned with McKinstry capabilities and plans. You will oversee teams, forecast staffing needs, manage critical processes, and ensure high-quality installations while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of industry experience.
• 7+ years of project management experience.
• 7+ years of experience leading people with a high standard of excellence.
• Strong business acumen.
• Proficient in forecasting and managing cost types.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams: hire, coach, and performance manage staff in line with McKinstry values.
• Coordinate monthly Project Management Meetings and participate in Project Reviews and Plan Presentations.
• Oversee forecasting, annual planning, and department monthly meetings with Business Unit Manager.
• Ensure manpower planning aligns with budgets and project schedules.
• Maintain payroll and labor efficiency, track field performance and safety compliance.
• Manage vendor training, safety initiatives, and field certifications.
• Assist with sales/estimating in manpower options and strategies when needed.
