Job summary

Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Engineer II to join the Ops Integration Engineering (OIE) team. You will drive the operational integration of new automation equipment across Amazon’s last-mile network, traveling ~80% to sites in North America to support installations, testing, and launches.

You will lead cross-functional pilots, develop training, and ensure readiness for expansion while partnering with site leadership to translate complex programs into actionable standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases.
• Experience working with retrofits, launches, or automation deployments.
• Experience with Material handling equipment (MHE).
• 3+ years of industrial engineer/operations/manufacturing/project engineer experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Pilot planning: develop operational framework for new automation pilots, define success criteria, and create operational standards.
• Operational readiness & expansion: lead on-site readiness, deliver training, and monitor post-launch performance.
• Coordinate handoffs to site ownership and risk mitigation as programs scale.
• Travel extensively (~80%) to sites across North America to support installations and testing.
