Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Operations Engineer for the OIE team to bridge engineering innovations with field operations across the AMZL network. The role requires extensive travel (~80%) to sites in North America and hands-on leadership in pilot planning, readiness, and expansion.

You will build operational standards, train site teams, monitor post-launch performance, and coordinate handoffs to ACES and site ownership as programs stabilize.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• 5+ years of directly managing and being responsible for multiple large projects experience.
• 3+ years of leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience with automated material handling equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pilot planning: develop the operational framework for new automation pilots, including training curricula, success criteria and KPIs, SAT/FAT inputs, site selection, and operating standards.
• Operational readiness & expansion: lead on-ground readiness for programs expanding across the network, deliver pre-launch training, provide on-site support, track post-launch metrics, and hand off to site ownership.
• Identify and address operational risks, adoption gaps, and process deficiencies that could impact program success.
