Job summary

ConocoPhillips, a leading oil producer, seeks Lease Operators (MSOs) to operate and troubleshoot oil and gas production across our Texas field assets. This field-based role emphasizes independent work, strong mechanical aptitude, and safety compliance in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Current/Valid driver’s license.
• 1+ years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, equipment operation, or inspection.
• Able to perform the physical demands and work environment requirements as described.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field operations across assigned wells and facilities in the Kermit, TX area, monitoring equipment and production performance.
• Inspect tanks, meters, separators, compressors, and pipelines to identify and prevent leaks or issues.
• Gauge tanks to measure crude oil and water levels for safe transfers.
• Operate and troubleshoot compressors, gas lift wells, sand traps, and flowback equipment.
• Maintain chemical injection rates and execute start-up/shut-in procedures.
• Enter and validate production data in digital systems for reporting and decision-making.
• Participate in facility walk-throughs, safety reviews, and regulatory documentation.
• Update P&IDs and site security documentation.
• Respond to alarms and fulfill on-call duties to minimize downtime.
• Apply safety, environmental, and company policies to protect personnel and assets.
