Job summary

Weatherford is seeking a Field Operator – Artificial Lift for our San Antonio, TX operations. You will perform maintenance, operate and inspect lift equipment, and ensure adherence to Weatherford policies and safety standards.

You will participate in daily safety meetings, coordinate with field teams, and drive to well sites as needed. The role requires 1–2½ years in Oil & Gas, basic math, and the ability to meet physical demands.

Qualifications

• 1–2 ½ years of Oil & Gas industry experience.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Must reside within commuting distance of San Antonio, TX or be willing to relocate.
• Basic Mathematics.
• Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and monitoring of equipment.
• Critical thinking, active learning & listening, complex problem solving.
• Good reading and writing skills, strong judgment and decision-making.
• Time management.
• Quality control analysis to ensure product meets standards.
• Capable of meeting physical demands.
• Information & task ordering; identifying problems and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties according to Weatherford policies and SOPs.
• Participates in daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox talks, JHA and reports issues using appropriate tools.
• Maintains equipment, facilities and work area in safe condition.
• Follows policies, procedures, and documentation relevant to operations.
• Performs functional tests, inspection and monitoring of equipment per training.
• Inspects used parts for dimensional changes with measuring instruments.
• Follows maintenance processes: unloading, disassembly, cleaning, testing, assembly, loading, storage.
• Rigs up/down equipment per training & competence.
• Cleans, lubricates, repairs and operates equipment as per instructions.
• Maintains mechanical, electronic and hydraulic components per work instructions.
• Drives vehicles to well sites and maintains driving record.
• Senior roles may lead workshops, plan and coordinate jobs, and supervise others.
• Performs additional duties safely as assigned.
