Job summary

VB Spine is seeking a Field Operations Technician I in Itasca, IL to ensure surgical sets are replenished, inspected, and ready for surgery. You’ll support OR schedules and patient care in a fast-paced environment, handling inventory, shipments, and logistics across territories.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years of experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will participate in on-call rotations and strive to meet KPI targets for quality and service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of work experience or equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of the medical device industry and hospital customer base preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unpackage incoming inventory.
• Inventory, replenishment, and inspection of branch surgical sets for redistribution.
• Perform accurate inventory transactions to maintain traceability.
• Prepare and package surgical sets for shipment to hospitals and branches.
• Coordinate with courier and transportation services for timely distribution.
• Rotate on-call support for nights and weekends as required.
• Comply with manufacturing procedures, training, and quality standards.
• Fulfill daily orders while meeting KPI targets for quality and service.
• Assist with cycle counting inventory at hospitals and office locations throughout the territory.

As a Field Operations Technician I in our Operations function within the Spine division, you’ll play a critical hands‑on role in ensuring surgical sets are fully replenished, inspected, and 100% ready for surgery — directly supporting operating room schedules and patient care in a fast‑paced environment.

What You’ll Do

• Physically receive and unpackage incoming inventory
• Conduct inventory, replenishment, and inspection of incoming branch surgical sets to prepare them for redistribution
• Perform accurate inventory transactions to maintain proper traceability
• Prepare and package surgical sets for shipment to hospitals and branches
• Coordinate with courier and transportation services for timely product distribution
• Rotate on‑call support for nights and weekends as required
• Comply with all manufacturing procedures, training, and quality standards
• Ensure all daily orders are fulfilled while meeting or exceeding KPI targets for quality and service
• Assist with cycle counting inventory at hospitals and office locations throughout the territory

What You Bring

Compensation

Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and performance. The typical pay range for this position is $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 annually, with potential for overtime and incentives plus benefits. Final compensation is determined on a case‑by‑case basis and considers a variety of factors including experience level, skillset, and market conditions.
