Job summary

Halter is seeking a motivated Field Ops Specialist to join our team in Australia as one of our first hardware technicians on the ground. You will build an efficient operational system, visit farms, diagnose issues, and ensure Halter’s hardware infrastructure runs smoothly from day one.

You’ll work closely with teams in Australia and at Halter’s Auckland HQ, traveling regularly and contributing to an unmatched customer experience for Australian cattle producers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting is a must.
• Ability to translate field observations into actionable feedback for remote teams.
• Proactive, takes ownership, and can figure things out on the go.
• Manages own time well and completes tasks on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure maintenance: oversee upkeep and repair of on-farm infrastructure.
• Hardware diagnosis: diagnose issues and feed back to the right team quickly.
• Deployment support: assist on farms, troubleshoot, and support installations.
