Job summary

TransCor America is seeking an Assistant Transportation Supervisor to assist the Transportation Supervisor in administrating and coordinating the Field Office operations in accordance with state and federal laws and company policies. The role oversees Transportation Officers, ensures regulatory compliance and safety, schedules trips, and maintains equipment.

A strong focus on staff development, communication, and operational efficiency is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 1 year minimum experience in Corrections, Security, Military Police, Police, or related field.
• Superior interpersonal abilities and ability to work with diverse personalities.
• Preferred: Class B CDL with air brakes and passenger endorsements.
• Preferred: Supervisory/management experience in related industry such as Corrections or Transportation.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise and monitor Transportation Officers in transportation operations.
• Communicate and support TransCor America’s vision and goals.
• Guide staff in safe, orderly operation of Field Office focusing on safety and security.
• Schedule and plan required trip activity as directed by Transportation Supervisor.
• Follow policies, procedures, and emergency plans per laws, policies, and contracts.
• Assign responsibilities and motivate staff to uphold policy and procedures.
• Plan and conduct equipment maintenance as directed by Supervisor.
• Attend staff meetings to ensure effective communication and operational consistency.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and feedback; keep supervisor informed of issues.
