At Serve Robotics, we’re reimagining how things move in cities. Our personable sidewalk robot is our vision for the future. It’s designed to take deliveries away from congested streets, make deliveries available to more people, and benefit local businesses.

The Serve fleet has been delighting merchants, customers, and pedestrians along the way in Los Angeles while doing commercial deliveries. We’re looking for talented individuals who will grow robotic deliveries from surprising novelty to efficient ubiquity.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Operations Supervisor will lead a team of operations personnel responsible for supporting commercial deliveries and development with our fleet of autonomous sidewalk robots. Reporting to the Director of Operations, your main objective will be to motivate your team through effective communication, training, coaching, development, performance monitoring, recognition, and supervision. You will demonstrate expertise in your knowledge of the processes your team is required to perform, ensure effective performance using standardized methods, and help drive process improvements for scaling operations.

You’ll also serve as the link between engineering and operations, supporting development tests and providing feedback to inform teams on the products and services we build. You will be a versatile contributor to Operations, with daily tasks that significantly impact the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Hire, coach, and develop team members to ensure effective, efficient, and customer-oriented service.
  • Support daily operations, including management of field agents, robots, and remote operators.
  • Conduct one-on-ones, coaching, and guidance to maintain service quality.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance to meet needs, customer service objectives, and KPIs.
  • Assist in personnel administration with HR, including performance reviews, promotions, and administrative actions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and oversee updates.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years managing a team of 5+ employees.
  • 3+ years in field operations, delivery, logistics, or similar.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High interpersonal skills to motivate and work effectively across all levels.
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays on-site.
  • Excellent organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure with a positive attitude.
  • Valid US driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs.
  • Willingness to commute to West LA, Hollywood, and Downtown LA offices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Economics.
  • 3+ years in customer resolution and support.
  • Experience in high-growth startups.
  • Familiarity with G Suite, especially Google Docs and Sheets.
  • Passion for efficiency, innovation, and robotics.
  • Multilingual skills, especially Spanish.
