Job description

Are you an experienced snow and ice or landscaping service professional committed to “doing it right the first time”? Do you have exceptionally high standards and love drawing a “little more” performance out of a service crew? Do you geek out on the latest industry equipment or techniques? Do you have a “do-whatever-it-takes” attitude and a great eye for detail? When the weather is wild and crazy, does it bring out the best in you? Do you revel in going the extra mile to delight a customer?

If that is you, have we got an opportunity for you!

For over 20 years, our team has been trusted by many of the world’s most recognizable brands. Our commercial snow and ice management services provide companies peace of mind knowing their day-to-day operations will not be affected by winter weather. And as a year-round partner in managing our clients’ facilities, we enhance their landscape beauty from spring to fall through professional lawn, landscaping, and parking lot maintenance as well. Our business is growing quickly, and we’re looking for a Field Operations Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in our continued growth.

As our Field Operations Supervisor, you’ll serve as the bridge and primary point of contact between Earth Development and our contracted snow and ice and landscaping service providers. Your focus will be assuring our Service Partners are aligned and operating in accordance with our clients’ expectations and Earth Development policy. You’ll also make sure our valued Service Partners are well cared for and enjoying their partnership with Earth Development. You’ll need to be comfortable operating independently in a dynamic work environment, and you’ll need the ability to build strong relationships.

This opportunity should provide a high amount of autonomy and flexibility and allow you to tailor your work to your preferences, dependent on your ability to produce. You’ll have a lot of input into how you structure your days and solve problems, so we would want you to be comfortable operating independently in a dynamic work environment. To be successful you will need the ability to build strong collaborative relationships – both within Earth Development and with your Service Partners.

We are long-term focused and values and ethics driven, and our dedicated professionals take pride in their work and having the knowledge to get the job “Done Right, the First Time, Every Time.”

As our Field Operations Supervisor, a day in the life might look like:

  1. Meeting and/or speaking with SPs to assure client service alignment and satisfaction with Earth Development.
  2. Conducting client site visits to evaluate the quality of SP work.
  3. Preparing and organizing client site maps and other service data for SPs to be effective in their work.
  4. Attend internal Earth Development meetings to represent the needs and interests of SPs and/or understand organizational needs for you to communicate to the SPs.
  5. Assure SP contracts are in-force and aligned with business needs.
  6. Work through your SP network to recruit new Service Partners.

This opportunity might be for you if you:

  1. Enjoy problem-solving -- including thinking outside the box and on the fly
  2. Are respectfully assertive, comfortable making decisions, and willing to hold SPs accountable for meeting policies and procedures
  3. Work well in a performance-oriented team while juggling multiple tasks
  4. Are highly responsible, reliable, and self-starting
  5. Enjoy diversity in your work schedule
  6. Are driven to meet goals and see you and your team win
  7. Work with integrity, passion, and to a high standard of excellence
  8. Want to join a growing company and have the opportunity to grow yourself within it

Some requirements we’ll need from you:

  1. Track record of setting and meeting goals and deadlines
  2. Driver’s license
  3. Ability to remain cool, calm, and positive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  4. Proficiency with cloud-based email and CRM tools
  5. Proficiency with Google Office Suite (similar to Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  6. Spanish-language skills would be great, but not required.
  7. Provide your own reliable transportation.
  8. Most work will be performed remotely, with occasional trips to corporate headquarters in Green Bay.

What you’ll get in return:

  1. Respect and recognition for your contributions
  2. The ability to build a strong network of relationships
  3. A friendly, supportive team
  4. Generous salary, benefits, and bonus opportunities
  5. Flexible work model -- open to remote, in-person, or hybrid role
  6. Travel opportunities and expense reimbursement
  7. Flexible pay dependent on experience
