Job summary

Staker Parson Companies seeks a Utility Superintendent to manage daily field operations, supervise crews, and coordinate labor, equipment, and subcontractors on Utah projects. The role emphasizes safety, schedule adherence, and cost control in a demanding construction environment.

The ideal candidate has a background in construction management or engineering, 3–5 years of related experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of construction, paving, heavy civil, utility, or aggregate operations experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily field operations on assigned projects.
• Direct crews, equipment, subcontractors, and resources to meet goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Monitor schedules and productivity to ensure timely completion.
• Train, mentor, and develop field employees; foster teamwork.
• Review plans and contract requirements to ensure quality workmanship.
