Job summary

Americom Technologies LLC in Utah seeks a hands-on Superintendent to lead multiple outside plant construction crews in underground utilities. You will supervise safety, scheduling, and profitability while coordinating with the PM and field teams to meet daily targets.

The role requires at least 5 years in Foreman or Superintendent, strong leadership and budgeting knowledge, and the ability to manage weather and traffic delays. MSHA/OSHA preferred and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Foreman or Superintendent role.
• Competent person certificates with MSHA and OSHA preferred.
• Knowledge of construction budgeting best practices.
• Knowledge of MS Office specifically Word and Excel
• Basic accounting knowledge with understanding in job costing
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Able to pass a level 4 background check.
• Maintains financial security by assisting in the monitoring of internal controls.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Must be customer oriented: ability to take care of the customer while following company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Identify daily safety concerns, solutions, sight conditions, verify and enforce submittals of JHA’s.
• Maintain DVIRs, equipment, daily reports, Smartsheet entries and reviews.
• Develop team unity with positive reinforcement for field employees.
• Train and mentor others on the job.
• Coordinate with management and crews with positive reinforcement.
• Ensure two-party verification is completed.
• Drive efficiency and profitability on all projects (fuel, idling, waste, tools).
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specs.
• Familiar with utilities marking.
• Manage daily timecards and field purchasing processes.
• Meet daily schedules and goals with crew and time management.
• Coordinate with PM on scheduling.
• Ensure field has POs for all purchases.
• Enforce company policies and preserve documentation.
• Complete incident reports and required documentation.
• Maintain dashboard forms as needed.
