Home Instead in Brentwood, TN is seeking a Field Operations Specialist to strengthen field operations and develop leaders across 15 locations. This hands-on role travels 85-95% to partner with our VP and General Managers, stepping in as Acting General Manager when needed, and shaping daily operations.

You will train and coach leaders, implement standardized procedures, monitor progress, and help the organization grow while supporting staff and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Leadership or operations experience in multi-location or home care.
• Experience coaching, training, and developing employees.
• Strong business acumen with P&L understanding.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building.
• Ability to travel 85–95% and lead in unfamiliar environments.
• Strong organizational skills and prioritization.

Home Instead® is seeking a Field Operations Specialist to help strengthen operations and develop leaders across our 15 locations.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the field, working alongside teams, and helping businesses succeed. You'll partner directly with our Vice President, support General Managers, and step into temporary branch leadership assignments when needed.

For the right candidate, this role offers a valuable development path toward future consideration for a General Manager position.

What You’ll Do

• Develop Leaders: Partner with the Vice President to train, coach, and support new and developing General Managers and other key team members.
• Strengthen Branch Operations: Travel to our locations to identify opportunities, troubleshoot challenges, and help teams improve performance.
• Step Into Leadership: Serve as Acting General Manager during temporary leadership vacancies, overseeing daily operations and supporting employees and clients.
• Drive Consistency: Help implement standardized training, operating procedures, and leadership best practices across locations.
• Support Team Success: Build relationships with local teams, provide practical coaching, and help leaders achieve their goals.
• Monitor Progress: Track training milestones, operational improvements, and branch transitions while keeping the Vice President informed.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated, adaptable leader who can quickly build trust, assess business needs, and turn challenges into opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Leadership or operations experience in home care, senior services, multi-location operations, or another service-oriented industry.
• Experience coaching, training, and developing employees or management teams.
• Strong business acumen, including an understanding of financial performance and P&L management.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and lead confidently in unfamiliar environments.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Willingness and ability to travel 85-95% of the time, including frequent overnight stays.
