Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Work Planner to join our outdoor vegetation management team. You will help coordinate field operations, ensure safety, and deliver high-value service to our utility clients.

Responsibilities include hiking rights-of-way, collecting data with tablets, using GIS and forestry software, and communicating clearly with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners, and the public. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this full-time role.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, invasive species management, and understanding of tree growth patterns.
• Ability to hike/ROWs and drive for extended periods of time.
• Knowledgeable about Utility Vegetation Management practices.
• Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Suite and an iPhone.
• Must work alone outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
• Must have excellent communication, problem solving, and attention to detail.
• Must adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Follow AMS safety standards, including safe driving and wildfire prevention.
• Safely drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way up to 10 miles/day; document vegetation work.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software; use forestry systems for data entry.
• Address customer concerns and communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners, and the public.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed; carry out other duties as assigned.
