Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Work Planner to support outdoor vegetation management operations. You will drive to sites, inspect vegetation work, document data on tablets, and use GIS-enabled systems to track progress while ensuring safety and quality for clients.

The role emphasizes independent field work, strong communication with stakeholders, and adaptability to changing conditions. Training and certifications are provided as part of ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification and hazard tree assessment.
• Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work alone outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to hike long distances on ROWs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Follow AMS safety standards, including safe driving and injury prevention.
• Promote AMS values in daily actions.
• Safely drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way (up to 10 miles/day).
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
• Address customer concerns and communicate with leadership, clients, and contractors.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
