Job summary

Allegro Home Delivery in Saint Paul, MN seeks a Field Area Manager to oversee fulfillment teams, supervise drivers and independent contractors, and ensure timely, accurate deliveries of mattresses, furniture, appliances, and other large items.

You will recruit, mentor, and lead crews, coordinate workflow, manage staffing, and collaborate with clients and carriers to maintain high service levels.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising and managing people in logistics or fulfillment.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and reports.
• Able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with drivers, contractors, and management.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise drivers and independent contractors to ensure loads are completed and loaded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Recruit new independent contractors and driving teams as needed.
• Coordinate and manage workflow for assigned employees.
• Ensure proper staffing and participate in hiring when needed.
• Mentor, motivate, and train teams to maximize productivity, accuracy, and safety.
• Consult with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
• Collaborate with contractors and drivers to ensure product delivery.
• Perform cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Ensure warehouse employees are entering data in inventory and logistics software.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure a successful operation.
• Address lost/missing product issues.
• Process all paperwork daily associated with the execution of the job.
