Job summary

Allegro Home Delivery, a division of ACS Logistics Holdings, seeks a operations supervisor to oversee fulfillment teams responsible for delivering mattresses, furniture, appliances and other large items. You will supervise crews and drivers, monitor independent contractors, and coordinate workflow to meet delivery schedules.

Responsibilities include staffing, mentoring, training, and collaboration with clients and vendors to ensure accurate loading, timely dispatch, and safe, compliant

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics or fulfillment environment.
• Experience supervising people.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as shipping documents, bill of lading, reports, safety rules/procedures, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Run crews and direct drivers, ensuring loads are completed and loaded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Monitor the success of Independent Contractors and Employee Drivers.
• Recruit new Independent Contractors and driving teams as needed.
• Coordinate and manage workflow for assigned employees.
• Ensure staffing and participate in hiring when needed.
• Support, mentor and motivate your teams.
• Facilitate training to maximize productivity, accuracy, and safety.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
• Ensure product delivery with drivers and ICs.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory checks.
• Enter data in inventory and logistics software.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure successful operation.
• Solve problems regarding lost and missing products.
• Process daily paperwork for execution of the job.
