Job summary

Yellowstone Landscape is seeking a Production Manager to oversee multiple landscape maintenance crews, coordinate resources, and drive safety and quality on client sites. You’ll partner with Sales and Mechanics to ensure timely, high-quality results across assigned geographic areas, while mentoring team members and optimizing operations to meet client expectations.

The role emphasizes field leadership, operational planning, and effective communication with customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; prior related work experience required.
• Ability to lead multiple crews and manage landscape maintenance operations.
• Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to meet insurance underwriting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple crew associates focusing on the maintenance operation.
• Coordinate materials, people, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure quality work.
• Promote safety and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Inspect properties and prepare action plans for requested services.
• Provide on-site training and develop employees.
• Track production hours and complete records in a timely manner.
• Forecast labor needs and allocate work across geographic locations.
• Schedule work for crews and communicate instructions.
• Visit sites and meet with customers to ensure quality matches scope.
• Collaborate with Sales to communicate needs and requests.
• Coordinate with Mechanics to ensure timely repairs.
• Recommend processes to improve operations, safety, productivity, profitability, and service.
• Achieve operational goals within allotted hours.
• Procure materials, ensure proper equipment on site, and monitor costs and safety procedures.
• Coach and mentor direct reports for growth and succession planning.
• Review and approve time off for employees.
• Participate in interview and selection processes.
• Be prepared to apply horticultural best practices and address weed/plant identification questions.
