Job Title: Field Operations Manager

Duration: Contract through June 30th (Potential for extension or conversion)
Compensation Range: $25-30/hr W2

Job Description:
Oversee day-to-day field operations for a specialized transit service, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery while managing drivers and customer interactions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Be onsite daily (8 AM - 5 PM) to oversee operations.
• Monitor driver compliance and ensure vehicles are clean and equipped.
• Conduct fleet audits and oversee driver onboarding.
• Act as the designated employer representative for drug/alcohol determinations.
• Support drivers with training, troubleshooting, and customer service.
• Analyze operational data and identify areas for improvement.
• Escalate and resolve service issues promptly.

Requirements:

• Must-Haves:

  • Experience in a leadership, field operations, or customer service role.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Competency with technology (Slack, dispatch tools, internal apps).
  • Ability to troubleshoot driver issues and escalate appropriately.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous, problem-solving environment.
  • Onsite availability Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.

• Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or similar industries.
  • Previous work with drivers, fleet management, or dispatch operations.
  • Background in customer service or sensitivity training.
  • Familiarity with performance tracking tools like Tableau.
