Stake Center Locating in Houston seeks a seasoned Locate Technician Supervisor to lead field teams in underground utility locating. You will oversee workload, mentor staff, and coordinate with corporate while ensuring safety and accuracy in all locate operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in locating, strong communication, and travel as needed. A high school diploma and clean background are required, with long hours and weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of leadership experience in the locating industry.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of underground utility construction and placement.
• Able to pass company training and testing requirements.
• Willingness to travel and work long hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workload distribution.
• Maintain customer relations.
• Coordinate interactions with Corporate.
• Assist with IT and purchasing involving homeowners and the public.
• Oversee disciplinary actions.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment.
• Manage inventory ordering.
• Mentor supervisors for performance improvement.
• Assist in damage resolution when necessary.
• Interpret reports such as PDR, audits and production.
• Assist with difficult locate jobs when necessary.
• Ensure staffing aligns with load requirements.
• Conduct performance reviews for staff.
