Job summary

Ruppert Landscape Co in Maryland is seeking an Assistant Field Manager for landscape and hardscape install projects. You will plan, supervise daily production, manage budgets, and ensure quality across assigned contracts.

You will develop team capabilities, participate in certification training, and coordinate with field managers to meet project timelines. Valid driver's license required; multi-state field work.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage others at different levels.
• Experience working with service customers.
• At least one year of contract maintenance experience in a commercial setting.
• Two- or four-year horticultural or related degree plus two years of industry experience; substitutions allowed for related cases.
• Ability to identify and diagnose insect and disease problems and schedule treatment.
• Knowledge of vehicles and equipment used in contract maintenance and snow removal.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record over last three years.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of company philosophies, branch goals, and financial position.
• Get to know their people to aid development within the company.
• Attend or conduct regular certification training sessions.
• Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities on contracts.
• Understand and monitor hours and costs; communicate budget hours to crew.
• Inspect work quality and address issues with the customer; end-of-day inspection.
• Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in good working order.
