Job summary

Rural Communities Assistance Corp. (RCAC) is seeking a Regional Field Manager to provide technical assistance to communities and small utilities while supervising 1–3 staff. The role blends direct field work (about 60%) with program management (about 40%), and leads grant-funded initiatives.

You will assess community needs, support budgets and proposals, and coordinate with partners and funders. Travel to remote communities and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related field required or equivalent experience.
• Five years of project management or grant management experience in water/wastewater or related environmental fields.
• Experience coordinating with rural communities and tribal partners preferred.
• Eligible to pass background check and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assess partner needs and recommended solutions.
• Perform quality assurance within your subject matter expertise.
• Support budget and proposal development with RCAC’s Development team.
• Manage relationships with client communities and funders.
• Oversee program contracts and budgets and supervise field implementation.
• Coordinate field work and networks with RCAC partners.
• Develop measurable performance expectations for staff.
• Ensure timely reporting and compliance across programs.
