Job summary

Met-Con, Inc. is seeking a Field Operations Manager to oversee field erection activities for structural steel and miscellaneous metals. You will manage field teams, coordinate crews, and ensure safe, timely, and quality execution across multiple job sites.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling expertise, and hands-on oversight of erection plans, lift plans, and sequencing strategies while enforcing OSHA safety standards. Travel to job sites and extended hours may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in steel erection.
• OSHA 30 certification required; additional certifications (rigging, signalperson, CPR/First Aid) preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Direct field superintendents, foremen, leadmen, and ironworker crews.
• Coordinate manpower needs to meet project demands.
• Oversee erection operations across multiple job sites per plans and schedules.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, audits, and incident investigations.
• Forecast labor needs and support training and development of field personnel.
• Provide regular progress, labor, and safety reports; assist with preconstruction planning.
