Job summary

Florida Atlantic Ironworks seeks a Field Operations Manager to oversee field erection activities related to structural steel and miscellaneous metals. You will lead the Structural Ironworking and Miscellaneous Metals teams to ensure safe, timely, and quality execution on multiple projects.

You will manage field superintendents, coordinate crews, review erection and lifting plans, and maintain compliance with AISC, PCI, AWS, SDI, and SJI standards while driving safety and productivity on site.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in steel erection, with at least 3 years in field management.
• OSHA 30 certification required; additional rigging/signalperson certificates preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field erection operations across multiple job sites, ensuring adherence to documents, schedules and quality requirements.
• Direct field superintendents, foremen, leadmen, and ironworker crews; assign crews and coordinate manpower needs.
• Develop and review erection plans, lift plans, and sequencing strategies.
• Ensure operations comply with OSHA regulations and client safety requirements; lead safety audits and incident investigations.
