Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Field Operations to lead field projects including derailment response, heavy lifting, railcar repair, and track maintenance. You will coach Supervisors, ensure safety and efficiency, work directly with customers, and respond to operational challenges in fast-paced environments.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, field ops experience, safety commitment, and the ability to solve problems under demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Supervisors in field projects.
• Assign work, monitor progress, and manage budgets.

• Identify operational risks and implement solutions.
• Build relationships with customers, partners, and regulators.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members.
• Assist with hiring, performance reviews, and coaching.
• Support workforce planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Ensure timely reporting of payroll, hours, equipment usage, and documentation.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and readiness.
• Support business growth through customer engagement.
