Job summary

The Michigan Farm Bureau seeks a strategic leader to oversee the Commercial Sales Account Coordinator and New Business Coordinator teams, building strong relationships with agencies, underwriters, and Michigan Agency Partners.

The role directs collaboration across field sales, marketing, and underwriting to optimize submissions, renewals, and policy production while guiding training and workflows in Guidewire and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum eight years of insurance industry experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Advanced Guidewire Policy Center experience required.
• Keyboarding skills of 60 wpm with accuracy.
• Active property/casualty license required or must be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Commercial Sales Account Coordinator and Commercial Package Policy New Business Coordinator teams.
• Develop and maintain direct relationships with agencies and underwriters.
• Manage policy premiums, commissions, and overall production tracking for teams.
• Provide onboarding and development for Commercial Sales Specialists, Commercial Lines Marketing Representatives, and related roles.
• Assist Farm Bureau Insurance agents with applications and quotes for commercial lines.
• Assist in training material development and best practices for submissions.
• Coordinate timecard tracking, budgeting guidance, and department workflows.
