Job summary

B&W Quality Growers seeks a Field Supervisor to oversee daily field operations for premium leafy greens, coordinating with Farm Manager to guide planting, irrigation, harvesting, and crop maintenance in Florida or Tennessee. You will lead field crews, monitor crop health, and ensure safety, quality, and production standards across outdoor hoop house/high tunnel production.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, Agronomy, or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of agricultural supervisory experience.
• Experience in commercial outdoor vegetable or leafy greens production preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily field operations, including planting, cultivation, irrigation, crop maintenance, and harvesting.
• Supervise, schedule, and direct field crews to meet production and harvest goals.
• Monitor crop growth, plant health, irrigation, and field conditions, identifying issues and recommending corrective actions.
• Support fertility, pest, disease, and weed management programs in collaboration with farm leadership.
• Oversee harvesting activities to ensure product quality, yield, and operational efficiency.
• Train, coach, and evaluate employees on safe work practices, harvesting techniques, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate labor, production, and field records using company systems and required documentation.
• Communicate daily with Farm Managers, Harvest Supervisors, and cross-functional teams to execute production plans.
• Ensure compliance with GAP, GMP, food safety, customer, and workplace safety requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready work areas.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and safety.
