  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive leadership experience in commercial agriculture.
  • Experience managing large-scale crop production and supervising field operations.
  • Strong knowledge of irrigation, fertility, crop production, harvesting, integrated pest management, and labor management.
  • Experience managing budgets, production metrics, labor costs, and operational planning.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze operational data.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of field operations, including planting, irrigation, crop maintenance, pest management, harvesting, and field preparation.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6–8 Farm Supervisors responsible for planting, harvesting, chemical application, and daily field activities.
  • Plan labor requirements and optimize workforce utilization to meet production and harvest schedules, including coordination with H-2A workforce programs.
  • Monitor crop health, irrigation, fertility, and integrated pest management (IPM) programs to maximize yield and product quality.
  • Conduct regular field inspections, review scouting reports, and implement corrective actions to address crop health concerns.
  • Partner with Quality, Sales, Production, and HR teams to align harvest schedules with customer demand and operational priorities.
  • Manage production schedules, planting plans, harvest forecasts, and field work orders.
  • Analyze operational performance, labor productivity, production costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with food safety, workplace safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Assist with annual budgets, production forecasting, seasonal planning, and resource allocation.

About the Role
