Job summary

Metrolina Greenhouses is seeking a Team Leader to supervise a dedicated team of general laborers and equipment operators across loading, shipping, field, and production tasks. You will delegate daily work, train, motivate, and coach staff on established processes, safety rules, and quality standards in an outdoor environment.

Ideal candidates will have strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to manage high-volume workloads, and flexibility to work varied hours.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of fundamental math.
• Ability to handle a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Willing to work in various areas of the daily operation including but not limited to loading, shipping, field, production.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to their assigned team daily
• Maintain quality standards and productivity goals
• Ensure employees follow safety requirements and operations processes
• Supervise, delegate, and participate with a team in an outdoor work environment
• Teach, train, motivate, and coach both year-round and seasonal staff on the processes and procedures
• Identify, nurture, and coach future leaders
• Ensure all company rules and policies are adhered to on the team
• Other duties as assigned by management
