Republic Services is seeking an Operations Lead to guide daily field operations for environmental services projects. You will lead crews, coordinate resources, and translate business priorities into on-site execution while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and accountability for achieving operational performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental operations, waste handling/processing, and safety standards.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with receiving, purchasing, work orders, licenses, and DOT training.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• CDL or related license/certificate may be required or preferred.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and direct daily work activities to ensure safe, compliant and efficient waste handling.
• Support operations leaders by coordinating crews, equipment, materials and schedules.
• Promote and enforce safety procedures and provide operational training.
• Oversee inventory, supplies, and coordination with vendors and facilities.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and processing of waste and chemicals.
• Direct material receipt and off-loading into storage and processing systems.
• Ensure safe waste treatment, including sampling, analysis and verification.
• Make operational decisions aligned with waste data and permits.
• Review and sign required documentation, including manifests and records.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams for transportation equipment.
• Participate in emergency response activities and other duties as assigned.
