Job summary

Kiewit invites a motivated student to join our Construction Management internship within the Field Operations team of the Power District. You will gain hands-on experience in project controls, craft management, safety, and budgeting while supporting project teams on real site work.

This paid internship offers exposure to large EPC and bid-build power projects across North America. Relocation and travel opportunities may be required, with a path to learn and grow in a fast-paced construction

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or related degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log and/or Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical and heavy industrial systems.
• Support administrative and construction activities; review proposals/drawings, perform material takeoffs, prepare cost estimates.
• Learn to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors.
• Prepare work plans, ensure quality control, manage costs and materials, schedule equipment and safety programs.
• Be prepared to relocate as required; demonstrate leadership in a fast-paced construction environment.
