Job summary

Kiewit is seeking highly motivated interns to gain hands-on experience in construction management. You will participate in field engineering, planning, cost control, and procurement while supporting project teams across multiple sites.

As an intern, you will learn to manage schedules, review plans, and coordinate with suppliers. The role emphasizes safety, ethics, and a strong work ethic with opportunities for travel within our Northwest District network.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related
• Willing to travel or relocate as needed
• Ability to access construction sites in varied climates and environments
• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Field engineering, operation planning, cost control, project scheduling, quantity tracking, material procurement, contract administration, estimating & supervision of field activities
• Performing engineering tasks using standard techniques and solving minor technical problems on site
• Maintaining records on job progress, costs, material usage
• Planning and scheduling of job segments
• Investigating problems and proposing solutions
• Reviewing plans and specifications for material quantities and pricing
• Collaborating with suppliers to facilitate material delivery
