Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is offering a field-based internship across multiple aggregate operations in the United States. Interns will gain exposure to quarry, plant, and production processes while supporting safety, efficiency, quality, and sustainability initiatives.

The role emphasizes hands-on data collection and analysis, collaboration with operations and maintenance teams, and participation in field inspections and regional improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Engineering or related technical degree.
• Demonstrated interest in industrial operations, manufacturing, mining, or similar environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with data interpretation abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration across diverse teams and locations.
• Willingness to travel to multiple aggregate sites and work in a dynamic field environment.

Responsibilities

• Visit multiple aggregate operations to learn quarry, plant, and production processes.
• Support operational improvement projects focused on safety, efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
• Collect, analyze, and present data to identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality control, and leadership teams on site initiatives.
• Participate in field inspections, project work, and continuous improvement activities across the region.
