Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a motivated Quarry Mining Engineering Intern to join our team in Kentucky. This internship offers hands-on experience supporting quarry operations, mine planning, data collection, and process improvement projects in a dynamic aggregates environment.

Responsibilities include assisting planning, field surveys, data analysis, and preparing reports while collaborating with engineering and operations to drive safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret data and apply technical concepts to operational challenges.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of quarry mining operations.
• Conduct field surveys and collect operational data for analysis and reporting.
• Support mine planning, production monitoring, and project implementation activities.

• Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations related to operational performance.
