Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking motivated undergraduates in Mining Engineering or Geology for hands-on field and office work at our aggregates operations. You will support engineers and production teams, experiencing project work, health and safety practices, and real quarry operations.

During the internship you will learn about the mission of production, maintenance and quality departments, while developing important technical and teamwork skills in a dynamic environment with PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to motivate teams and manage several projects.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Put your education into action in the field to support and participate in assigned project work.
• Support the plant operations in achieving production goals while partnering with experienced engineers, managers, and production employees in different departments.
• Complete technical projects to gain an understanding of the operations of a quarry or aggregate site.
• Learn the mission of the production, maintenance, and quality departments and different job and functions.
• Ensures compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
