Critical Loop is hiring a Site Operations Engineer to support deployment, operation, maintenance, and performance of mobile BESS fleets and distributed energy systems. You will ensure safe field operations, drive rapid customer response, and maintain high uptime across active sites.

You will work with controls and software teams to test and validate control logic across diverse power applications in a hands-on, customer-facing role.

Formación

• Experience operating or supporting battery energy storage systems in the field.
• Hands-on power electronics, field maintenance, and troubleshooting across hardware and software.
• Able to verify de-energized conditions on 480V+ systems safely.
• Experience using backend or controls software to monitor energy systems.
• Customer-facing with strong communication and problem-resolution skills.
• Capable of working on-site independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiar with electrical safety practices and standards.

Responsabilidades

• Manage fleet deployment, scheduling, and retrieval to ensure reliable service across customer sites.
• Oversee site readiness, electrical connections, grounding, and system startup during deployments.
• Commission battery energy storage and power systems in the field, verifying de-energized conditions before touch.
• Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans to maximize uptime.
• Lead hands-on troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, battery, and power electronics issues.
• Serve as primary escalation point for on-site and remote troubleshooting and customer support.
• Coordinate logistics, transportation, staging, and heavy equipment movement for deployments.
• Operate and test system control logic and state transitions between operating modes.
• Maintain documentation on fleet status, maintenance activities, telemetry, and performance.
• Communicate findings and timelines with engineering teams and customers.
